A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND,
FLORIDA, APPROVING SITE PLAN AMENDMENT AND COMMUNITY
APPEARANCE BOARD APPLICATIONS TO ALLOW FOR RENOVATIONS
AND MINOR BUILDING ADDITIONS TO THE CLUBHOUSE AND SPORTS
CLUB WITHIN THE PARKLAND GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB (PGCC)
COMMUNITY; GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES
OF TRAILS END BOULEVARD BETWEEN UNIVERSITY DRIVE AND PINE
ISLAND ROAD; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. CASE NUMBERS
SPA22-004 AND CAB22-003.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, as the governing body of the City of Parkland, Florida,
pursuant to the authority in Chapter 163 and Chapter 166, Florida Statutes, and the Code of Ordinance
is authorized and empowered to consider petitions related to zoning and land development orders; and
WHEREAS, the notice and hearing requirements as provided in the Code of Ordinances have
been satisfied; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission has considered the evidence and testimony presented by the
Petitioner and other interested parties and the recommendations of the various City of Parkland review
agencies and staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PARKLAND, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1. Site Plan Amendment Application No. SPA22-004, and,Community Appearance
Board Application No. CAB22-003, to allow for renovations and minor building additions to the
clubhouse and sports club within the Parkland Golf and Country Club(PGCC)are hereby APPROVED,
subject to the conditions of approval contained herein, which are in addition to the general requirements
otherwise provided by ordinance:
1. This approval is based upon the Application,Justification Statement, and Exhibits date-stamped
April 27, 2022, by the Planning & Zoning Department.
2. All conditions and approvals of the Parkland Golf and Country Club (PGCC) project not
specifically amended by this application are still in effect and shall govern the development.
3. Identify construction access and security for ingress and egress of construction vehicles and
equipment at time of permitting.
4. Provide a fence detail for the new fence and gate adjacent to the Kids Area expansion. Fence
material and color to match existing.
5. Change the Sylvester Date palms to Medijool or Canary Island Date palm on sheet LP-1.
Change the specification to 10' clear trunk in lieu of 16' overall height.
6. Prior to permit issuance, address the comments on the Engineering Department memorandum
dated March 23,2022 (hereby attached).

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
