RESOLUTION 98 - 03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA, IN APPRE-
CIATION TO THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE,
JUDITH CHASE KILGORE, FOR HER CONTINUING
ACHIEVEMENTS AND EXCELLENCE FOR AND ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND
WHEREAS, Judith Chase Kilgore has been the Director of Finance
for the City of Parkland for over nine years, and
WHEREAS, her dedication, perseverance, acumen,
professionalism, and demeanor have significantly contributed to the
growing enhancement of the reputation of the City and its Finance
Department, and
WHEREAS, She almost singlehandedly is responsible for the
procedural modernization, automation, and creation of a true
Finance Department from the most modest of beginnings, and
WHEREAS, She has willingly served as the key financial advisor
to the City Commission and the City Manager yielding fiscal
stability, integrity, predictability, and achievement, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Judith Chase Kilgore is hereby publicly recognized
and sincerely thanked for her excellence and application of the
highest principled duties to the City of Parkland.
Section 2. Judith Chase Kilgore is publicly acknowledged to
have saved the City of Parkland thousands of dollars and
considerable time and trauma through her participation in and
presidency of the municipal risk management insurance pools so that
the City of Parkland always plays a major role in the various pools
in which we participate.
Section 3. The world's most significant governmental
financial organization has again recognized Judith Chase Kilgore,
the Finance Department of the City of Parkland, and the City of
Parkland for its Excellence in Financial Reporting with the Award
of Certificate of Achievement for the seventh consecutive year.
Section 4. The Mayor, City Commission, her management peers,
and most certainly the City Manager come together to express our
gratitude for her association with us and thank her for setting the
high standards of excellence in ethics, and the model for
professionalism in public finance. We fully acknowledge that our
current financial condition could not and would not be so
commendable without her nine years of daily concern for our long
range stability.
Section 5. We hereby proclaim the above to the general public
who would share in our genuine affection, regard, and hopes for the
future because of our association with Judith Chase Kilgore.
