THE MEMBERSHIP OF UTILITY ADVISORY BOARD ~OM FIVE TO.SEWN ~MBERS; CONTi\lNJNG A PROVISION _ l' .' FOR INCLUSION IN THE CITY COD~; CONT~G AN EFFECTIVE DAT~. WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Parkland on April 11, 1984 found and determined that a Utility Advisory Board was necessary and appropriate for the City of Parkland; and .- WHEREAS, the City Commission believes a Board of seven members would be preferable to a five member board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 1 of Resolution N0.84.:..45 is amended to read as follows: That there is currently a need for a Utility Advisory Board in the City of Parkland an~ to fulfill that need, there is hereby created and established a "Utility Advisory Board". Said Board shall be composed of KYm members. Each member ofthc? City Commission shall nominate a member of the Utility Advisory Board. The remainine- two members shall be appointed by mEijority vote of the Commission. The current members of the Board shall serve out their terms, at which time their successors sb8n be nominated and appointed. Current members sitting on the Board are eligi~le for reappointment. Section 2. The provisions of this Resolution may be renumbered for inclusion in the City Code. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption. Date Adopted: Aoril 26 . 1995.
