A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA FOR SITE PLAN APPROVAL OF
THE ENTRANCEWAY AND SIGNAGE FOR THE CYPRESS
TRAIL COMMUNITY; CASE 07 -SP -93.
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the City Commission, a Public Hearing was held
to hear testimony for and against the petition of Cypress Trail Homeowners Association
requesting approval of a site plan for the entranceway signage for the Cypress Trail
community located on the north side of Holmberg Road and NW 70th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the proposed site plan is found to be in concordance with the City of
Parkland Landscaping Code and meets or exceeds the parklike setting requirements of the
City; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board reviewed the petition and recommend
approval by a 4-2 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Parkland, Florida that;
1. This approval is based on the site plan entitled Cypress Trail Estates New Entry Walls prepared
by and dated received by the Planning Department October 7, 1994, and the entrance wall
landscaping plan prepared by Michael Petrow and Associates and dated received by the
Planning Department October 7, 1994.
2. Prior to the issuance of a building permit for the proposed walls the petitioner shall supply to the
City, recorded wall and landscaping easements for Lots 2 and 3.
3. Prior to the issuance of a building permit for the proposed wall, the petitioner shall provide written
verification and releases from all utility entities which have structures within the utility easements
located along Holmberg Road.
4. Prior to final inspection of the proposed signs the petitioner shall remove the existing sign for
Cypress Trail, currently located in the median.
5. The petitioner shall provide to the City copy of the homeowners document that shows
their responsibility to maintain both signs.
6. The petitioner shall provide additional native material in the landscaping around the proposed
signs.
