HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-07 Declaring a Zoning in Progress for AE-1 Zoning (Ranches)RESOLUTION NO. 94 - 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA DECLARING A ZONING IN PROGRESS FOR THE AE -1 ZONING CLASSIFICATION IN THE CITY OF PARKLAND WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Parkland, Florida is considering changes both in permitted uses, and other restrictions of a zoning nature and other nature affecting the AE - 1 which may affect the AE -1 zoning district in the City of Parkland, and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to place all parties owning property in AE -1 zoning classification on notice that the permitted uses in the AE -1 zoning classification as stated in Section 22-30 of the Parkland Code of Ordinances may be amended and other provisions and restrictions may be placed upon lands within the AE -1 zoning classification in the City of Parkland, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA, that: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Parkland hereby declares that zoning in progress is ongoing in the AE -1 zoning classification in the City of Parkland. Therefore, for a period of 150 days from the date of this Resolution, all persons with property zoning AE -1 are hereby put on notice that the City Commission of the City of Parkland will issue no Occupational Licenses for land zoned AE -1 for the following uses: grove, produce farm, truck garden, horticultural farming, botanical garden, floriculture, nursery, corn raising, hydroponic garden, slathouse, forestry, beekeeping, and raising of fish as the City RESOLUTION NO. 94-7 PAGE 2 Commission is proposing that these uses no longer be permitted. Further, the provision relating to accessory uses shall be eliminated from AE -1 zoning district regulations. Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption by the City Commission of the City of Parkland and shall be advertised in a newspaper of general circulation twice within twenty-one (21) days from the date of this Resolution.
