RESOLUTION 93-32
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND VACATING
A PORTION OF THE 12 FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
ON LOT 8. BLOCK C, TALL PINES, TOGETHER WITH A
PORTION OF THE 12 FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT ON
LOT 1, BLOCK D, TALL PINES. ACCORDING TO THE
PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 152, PAGE 30
OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY: CASE
No. 02 -AB -93.
WHEREAS, the authority to vacate utility easements or other
rights-of-way is vested in the City Commission of the City
of Parkland pursuant to Chapter 166 of Florida Statutes entitled
the Municipal Home Rule Powers Act and pursuant to said power,
the City Commission desires to vacate certain utility easements
located within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Parkland finds
that the subject 12 foot utility easements hereto attached as
Exhibit "A", are no longer needed or required for public
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board has reviewed Case No.
02 -AB -93 and recommends approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
The approval of Case No. 02 -AB -93 with the following
condition.
1. This approval is based on the abandonment survey and
sketch attached as Exhibit A, containing two pages..:
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20 DAY OF OCTOBER 1993.

A portion of Lot 1, Block D and a portion of Parcel E,
TALL -PINES, according to the plat thereof, recorded in Plat
Book 152 at Page 30 of the Public Records of Broward County,
Florida, described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of said Lot
1 on a curve concave to the northwest having a
radius of 175.00 feet and to said corner a radial
line bears South 32.16'12" East•(Bearings are based
on said plat of TALL -PINES;
thence southwesterly, along said curve on the
southerly line of said Lot 1, through a central
angle of 08.58'32", a distance of 27.41 feet to the
point of compound curvatura of a curve concave to.
the northeast having a radius of 25.00 feet:
thence southwesterly, westerly and`
northwesterly, along said curve, through a central
angle of 62.39.5201, a distance of 27.34 fest to the
POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence continue northwesterly, along said
curve, through a central angle of 20.57'22", a
distance of 9.14.feet to the point of reverse
curvature of a curve concave to the southeast
having a radius of 50.00 feet;
thence northwesterly, westerly, southwesterly
and southerly, along said curve, through a central

FROM FLORIDA NATIONAL PROPERTIES OF A TWELVE
FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT ON LOT 1/D TALL`
PINES ACCORDING TO TSR`PLAT THEREOF, PLAT 152,,
PAGE 30 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY,
FLORIDA

WHEREAS, in connection with Resolution no. 93-32, in which
the City abandoned a utility easement on the Tall Pines Plat, the
City ed that a 12 -foot wide utility easement
WHEREAS, attached hereto is a copy of the utility easemen
to be granted to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PARKLAND, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The attached 12 -foot wide utility easement is
hereby accepted by the City of Parkland. The appropriate
officials of the City of Parkland are to assure that said
easement is executed and recorded in the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida.
