HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-34 Amendment to Landings Traffic Enforcement Agreement RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 34 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE TRAFFIC AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARKLAND AND THE LANDINGS OF PARKLAND ASSOCIATION, INC. TO PROVIDE ROUTINE PATROL FOR TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT ON PRIVATE STREETS. WHEREAS, the Cit7 Co..ission of the Cit7 of Parkland finds and deteraines that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the Cit7 to enter into the attached aaendaent to the Agreeaent with The Landinls of Parkland Association, Inc. for the purpose of providing routine patrol for traffic enforceaent on private streets; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the appropriate Cit7 officials are hereb7 authorized to execute the attached aaended Alreeaent between the Cit7 of Parkland, Florida and The Landings of Parkland Association, Inc. Section 2. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 21 ~/ ~-c< SAL AGLIAU, MA .. ~s:.-~ Q~ SUSAN ARMSTRONG, , CITY CLERK First Amendment To Municipal Traffic enforcement Agreement For The Landings This Amendment, made and entered into this ~ day of October, 1992, by and between DB LANDINGS 01' PARltLAND ASSOCIATION, INC., a not-for-profit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the state of Florida, having its principal office at 3300 University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33065 (hereinafter referred to as "ASSOCIATION"), and the CITY 01' PARKLAND, a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida, with its permanent post office address at 6500 Parks ide Drive, Parkland, Florida 33067 (hereinafter referred to as "CITY"). WHEREAS, the CITY and ASSOCIATION have previously executed a Municipal Traffic Enforcement Agreement, dated March 9, 1992; and WHEREAS, ASSOCIATION has acquired title to additional rights- of-way (Exhibit "A") since the original Agreement; and WHEREAS, the CITY in keeping with the intent of the original Agreement, and the normal course of police patrols will patrol the additional rights-of-way; and WHEREAS, the ASSOCIATION desires the CITY to include the additional rights-of-way in traffic patrols. NOW, THEREFORE, both CITY and ASSOCIATION agree as follows: 1. The additional rights-of-way shown on Exhibit "A" will be incorporated into the areas of patrols pursuant to the original Agreement executed March 9, 1992. 2. All terms and conditions relating to the March 9, 1992 Agreement remain unchanged.
