1991-36 Ranch Road Assessment 66th Lane 92259974 RESOLUTION NO. 91 - 36 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND EVIDENC- ING ITS INTENT TO PROVIDE FOR MAJOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, ALL LOCATED IN THE AREA ABUTTING N.W. 66 LANE ENCOMPASSING FOLIO NUMBERS 8103-01-0223, 8103-01-0222, 8103-01-003 AND 8103-01-0031, ALL INCLUSIVE IN THE CITY OF PARKLAND, BEING ROAD RECONSTRUCTION ABUTTING THE LOTS AND ESTABLISHING THE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF, PROVIDING FOR ALL COSTS AND EXPENSES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROPERTIES ON A FRONT-FOOT BASIS, PROVIDING FOR THE INTEREST RATE TO BE CHARGED WITH RESPECT TO SUCH ASSESSMENTS, THE PERCENTAGE OF THE ASSESSMENT THAT MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF THE ASSESSMENT AND FOR SEMI-ANNUAL PAY- MENTS THEREAFTER. Whereas, there are certain properties located within the City of Parkland comprising the properties with tax folio numbers 8103-01-0223, 8103-0-0222, 8103-01-003 and 8103-01-0031 as indicated in the attached Exhibit A: Whereas, it is the intent of the City Commission to provide for a road abutting said lots; and Whereas, the lots in question will be specially benefited by the road, ::a -..0 ,...... ~ -.. -:... - VI :!l ..... -F.= .... . - CD NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE ~ CITY OF PARKLAND, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City Commission does hereby declare the necessity for the construction of a paved road abutting properties with the following tax folio numbers (as shown on Exhibit "A" attached); #8103-01-0223, #8103-01-0222, #8103-01- 003 and #8103-01-0031. fEE ITEM ......... That due to the nature of the road construction, all of the same are local improvements solely for the benefit of the lots contained within the area and described above bounding and abutting the road to be constructed and that 100 percent of the costs shall be assessed against said lots, the road assessments to be on a front-foot basis. Section 4. That the assessments when established shall require twenty (20%) percent of the total lot assessment from the project to be paid within a period of 60 days from the date of final assessment and the balance to be paid in four (4) regular successive semi-annual payments of the principal and accrued interest, which interest shall be established at ~i~ht (8,0 percent per annum. Section 5. Section 6. That the City Commission will pass such other resolutions, provide proper notices and take such other steps as may be necessary or required to declare the special assessments, and provide for the equalizing board hearings. Section 7. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
