A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF PARKLAND AMENDING RESOLU-
TION NO. 90-26 RELATING TO RULES OF
PROCEDURE FOR CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS
OF THE CITY OF PARKLAND, AMENDING SAID
RULES AND REGULATIONS TO INCLUDE A
SECTION 13(e) TO PROVIDE FOR THE RIGHT
OF THE CHAIRMAN TO REQUIRE THAT PERSONS
ACTING IN A DISORDERLY MANNER BE
REMOVED FROM CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS;
CONTAINING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Parkland wishes to
ensure that City Commission meetings are conducted in an orderly
fashion while permitting the appropriate opportunity for public input
and the exercise of the democratic rights of all citizens of the City
of Parkland; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that individuals who
disrupt City Commission meetings have the effect of making it diffi-
cult for the City Commission to conduct the business of the City'and
detract from the ability of others to exercise their rights to partic-
ipate in the democratic process,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PARKLAND AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a new Section 13(e) shall be added to the Rules
of Procedure for City Commission meetings to read as follows:
Section 13(e). Should any member of the
public, while attending a City Commis-
sion meeting, act in a disorderly or
boisterous manner so as to disrupt the
orderly process of the City Commission
meeting, the Chairman shall have the

right to require that said person be
removed from the City Commission
chambers by a police officer in order
to restore order.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective upon passage.
