Dear Michael:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your
consideration and cooperation in delaying any decisions on the
realignment of Pine Island Road, Nob Hill Road, and the
elimination of the Sawgrass Expressway.
As of our City Commission meeting last night, we have rescinded
Resolution No. 90 - 20 dated July 18, 1990. In addition; enclosed
is a copy of a new Resolution reiterating the above.
Please be formally advised, we will try to hasten negotiations
between Coral Ridge Properties/Florida National Properties as
expeditiously as possible so we will not cause any delays in your
planning process.
I hope you understand the City's need to be aware of all planning
activities from any developer within the City of Parkland that
necessarily interacts with the Broward County Planning Council.
I trust you will routinely notify my office and the City of
Parkland when any matters relating to our City come to your
organization formally or informally. It is only through the
cooperation of all parties involved including property owners,
government, and organizations such as yours that we can truly
develop our region for the benefit of future generations. I am
certain we all share the goal that it is simply a matter of
procedurally dealing with the many joint issues we need to
address in the future.
